A dracopyre is a cross between werepyres (half-Vampire, half-Werewolf) and dragons. There are three main dracopyres thoughout the storyline. The original is Nightbane, son of Wolfwing. Once a werepyre named Balius and Wolfwing's favorite son, he drank the blood of a thousand dragons and became a dracopyre. He is the father of Cenara and Edward (Vampire Slayer E.) and the husband of Lady Evina, as well as the half-father of Donovan. After his death, Donovan made chaos in the Darkovian ranks by recruiting the WereKing's son Thrasher and several of Wolfwing and Safiria's "loyal" lieutenants to infiltrate the ranks of the different peoples. Donovan's goal was to use his father's blood in a ritual to become a dracopyre. By mistake, his half-sister Cenara was affected by her father's blood as well and became very sick. It was only by Dewlok the moglin's healing powers and the cure that the hero (you) finds that she survives. (Though the transformation seems to age her a bit) The two are both turned into the full dracopyres, NightReign (Donovan) and GraceFang (Cenara), and between them they start a war that threatens to destroy all of Darkovia.

Players can now become dracopyres by going to the Dracopyre Legacy in Darkovia Forest, clicking "Become a Dracopyre" and can choose their alliance between Gracefang and Nightreign... provided the hero is a Werepyre and at Level 70.
